Formulation of high solid load slurries is an important aspect in achieving dense, quality ceramic green body shaping by additive manufacturing techniques. To this end, the understanding and control interparticle interactions non-aqueous organic slurry systems imperative. With nanosized powders gaining increasing interest, particle stabilization long-chain polymeric dispersants undesirable due ...

Fiber reinforced composites plays major role in improving the strength of various applications current trends. Based on these trends combination natural jute/coir fiber hybrid composite different size length was examined this study. The fabricated by compression moulding technique impregnating jute and coir with unsaturated polyester resin, Cobalt octoate methyl-ethyl-ketone peroxide as acceler...

The synthesis of the marine natural product 1,6Z,9Z,12Z,15Z-octadecapentaen-3-one (1) has been achieved by two different routes starting from the ethyl esters of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), respectively. Using EPA ethyl ester as starting material the polyunsaturated vinyl ketone lipid 1 was obtained in 17% overall yield.

R-(+)-Pulegone, a monoterpene ketone, is a potent hepatotoxin. The present study was designed to evaluate whether the reduction of the ring size in R-(+)-pulegone would affect its mode of metabolism and its hepatotoxic potential. Metabolic fate of R-(+)-4-methyl-2-(1-methylethylidene)-cyclopentanone (I) and 5-methyl-2-(1-methylethylidene)-cyclopentanone (DL-camphorone; II) were examined in rats...

Radio frequency heating (RFH) technologies use electromagnetic energy in the radio frequency (RF) band to heat soil in situ, thereby potentially enhancing the performance of standard soil vapor extraction (SVE) technologies. Contaminants are remove d from in situ soils and transferred to collection or treatment facilities. (IITRI) RFH process was evaluated under the U. S. Environmental Protecti...
