A collocation-quadrature method is proposed and studied for the numerical solution of a singular integral equation concerned with the two-dimensional elasticity problem of a crack at a circular cavity surface. These investigations are based on an C∗-algebra approach presented in a recent paper [5] on the numerical solution of an integral equation for the notched half-plane problem.

The nuclear quadrupole transverse relaxation process of half-integer spins in liquid samples is known to exhibit multi-exponential behaviors. Within the framework of Redfield's relaxation theory, exact analytical expressions for describing such a process exist only for spin-3/2 nuclei. As a result, analyses of nuclear quadrupole transverse relaxation data for half-integer quadrupolar nuclei wit...

The Weeks method for calculating numerical values of f(t) from its Laplace transform F(s) involves the numerical evaluation of a set of contour integrals. In this paper, we describe a powerful modification, by means of which results of comparable accuracy can be obtained using approximately half the number of complex function values. This and other possible minor modifications are discussed.

We review the half-Skyrmion theory for copper-oxide high-temperature superconductivity. In the theory, doped holes create a half-Skyrmion spin texture which is characterized by a topological charge. The formation of the half-Skyrmion is described in the single hole doped system, and then the half-Skyrmion excitation spectrum is compared with the angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy results...

flood routing has many applications in engineering projects and helps designers in understanding the flood flow characteristics in river flows. floods are taken unsteady flows that vary by time and location. equations governing unsteady flows in waterways are continuity and momentum equations which in case of one-dimensional flow the saint-venant hypothesis is considered. dynamic wave model as ...

this work concerns the peristaltic flow of a williamson fluid model in an inclined asymmetric channel under combined effects of heat and mass transfer. the governing nonlinear partial differential equations are simplified under the lubrication approach and then solved analytically and numerically. the analytical results are computed with the help of regular perturbation and the numerical result...

‎the problem of two-phase mhd boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer over a stretching sheet with fluid-particle suspension and thermal radiation has been studied. the effect of mass transfer in dusty fluid over a stretching sheet is considered for the first time. the governing equations are reduced to a set of non-linear ordinary differential equations under suitable similarity transforma...

The main aim of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of the Half-Sweep Arithmetic Mean (HSAM) iterative method in solving dense linear systems generated from the discretization of the first and second kind linear Fredholm integral equations. The formulation and implementation of the proposed method is also presented. Numerical tests and comparisons with other existing methods are given to...

This paper discusses Lyapunov stability of the trivial solution of linear di erentialalgebraic equations. As a criterion for the asymptotic stability we propose a numerical parameter (A;B) characterizing the property of a regular matrix pencil A B to have all nite eigenvalues in the open left half-plane. Numerical aspects for computing this parameter are discussed.
