An approach to apply ensembles of regression models, built over the chunks of a data stream, to aid in residential premises valuation was proposed. The approach consists in incremental expanding an ensemble by systematically generated models in the course of time. The output of aged component models produced for current data is updated according to a trend function reflecting the changes of pre...

An e cient procedure is proposed for initializing two-layer perceptrons and for determining the optimal number of hidden neurons. This is based on the Orthogonal Least Squares method, which is typical of RBF as well as Wavelet networks. Some experiments are discussed, in which the proposed method is coupled with standard backpropagation training and compared with random initialization.

In this paper a special higher order neuron, the hypersphere neuron, is introduced. By embedding Euclidean space in a conformal space, hyperspheres can be expressed as vectors. The scalar product of points and spheres in conformal space, gives a measure for how far a point lies inside or outside a hypersphere. It will be shown that a hypersphere neuron may be implemented as a perceptron with tw...

The objective of this study is development of driver’s sleepiness using Visually Evoked Potentials (VEP). VEP computed from EEG signals from the visual cortex. We use the Steady State VEPs (SSVEPs) that are one of the most important EEG signals used in human computer interface systems. SSVEP is a response to visual stimuli presented. We present a classification method to discriminate between...
