The new laser method for nanostructures formation on a surface of semiconductors Si, Ge, GaAs and SiGe, CdZnTe solid solutions is proposed. For the first time was shown the possibility of graded band gap structure formation in elementary semiconductors. Thermogradient effect has a main role in initial stage of nano-cones and graded band gap structure formation by laser radiation in semiconductors.

A high energy double-pulsed Ho:Tm:YLF 2-μm laser amplifier has been demonstrated. 600 mJ per pulse pair under Qswitch operation is achieved with the gain of 4.4. This solid-state laser source can be used as lidar transmitter for multiple lidar applications such as coherent wind and carbon dioxide measurements.

The angular distribution of bremsstrahlung gamma rays produced by fast electrons accelerated in relativistic laser-solid interaction has been studied by photoneutron activation in copper. We show that the gamma-ray beam moves from the target normal to the direction of the k(laser) vector as the scale length is increased. Similar behavior is found also in 2D particle-in-cell simulations.
