Introduction: Several self-navigation techniques have been proposed to improve respiratory motion compensation in CMRA [1-3]. Compared to diaphragmatic navigators self-navigating methods do not require the use of a heart-diaphragm motion model as they allow direct measurement of cardiac motion. Motion estimation is, however, often impeded by static structures within the excited volume. In this ...

We discuss quantum inequalities for minimally coupled scalar fields in static spacetimes. These are inequalities which place limits on the magnitude and duration of negative energy densities. We derive a general expression for the quantum inequality for a static observer in terms of a Euclidean two-point function. In a short sampling time limit, the quantum inequality can be written as the flat...

PURPOSE Motion correction in PET has become more important as system resolution has improved. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of event-by-event and frame-based MC methods in human brain PET imaging. METHODS Motion compensated image reconstructions were performed with static and dynamic simulated high resolution research tomograph data with frame-based image reconstructi...

introduction: one of the main sections of warm up is stretching which the importance of them is static and dynamic stretching. the purpose of this study was to examine the effects of static and dynamic stretching within a pre-exercise warm-up on the static and dynamic in soccer players. materials and methods: eighteen physical education female students (height: 159.68 ± 5.94 cm; mass: 60.21 ± 5...

We study contribution of radiative processes to $p_{\perp}$-broadening fast partons in an expanding quark-gluon plasma. It is shown that the correction $\langle p_{\perp}^2\rangle$ for QGP produced $AA$-collisions at RHIC and LHC may be negative, comparable absolute value with non-radiative contribution. have found expansion enhances suppression $p_\perp$-broadening as compared static medium.

PURPOSE To determine a correction factor for refractive errors evaluated without cycloplegy effect. METHODS A study was made with 623 patients (1,246 eyes) of both sexes, aging between 3 and 40 years old. The dynamic and static refractometries were obtained using the automated refractor Shin-Nippon Accuref-K 9001. 1% Cyclopentolate was dropped and the static refractometry was performed in 30 ...

INTRODUCTION Leg length discrepancy (LLD) causes pelvic obliquity in the frontal plane and lumbar scoliosis with convexity towards the shorter extremity. Leg length discrepancy is observed in 3-15% of the population. Unequalized lower limb length discrepancy leads to posture deformation, gait asymmetry, low back pain and discopathy. MATERIAL AND METHODS In the years 1998-2006, 369 children, a...

Shear modulus of a body-centered cubic Coulomb crystal of ions is calculated by thermodynamic perturbation theory taking into account ion motion. Classic and quantum regimes of ion motion are considered. The calculations in the classic range of high temperatures agree well with previous Monte Carlo simulations. In this case, the shear modulus is given by a sum of a positive contribution due to ...

Echo Planar Imaging (EPI), often utilized in functional MRI (fMRI) experiments, is well known for its vulnerability to inconsistencies in the static magnetic field (B(0)). Correction for these field inhomogeneities usually involves measuring the magnetic field at a single time point, and using this static information to correct a series of images collected over the course of one or multiple exp...

The most vital factor in the application of precision agriculture technology is the cost of the required high-technology equipment. The equipment cost is the major obstacle in adopting the precision agriculture. GPS receiver is one of the most essential tools with high initial costs in this technology. The aim of this study was to evaluate a low-cost GPS receiver in 3 different tests including ...
