Quartz is an important component of the Earth. In this study, experiments were conducted at temperatures between 600 to 700 °C, confining pressures 1.5 and 1.8 GPa, differential stress conditions. It was found that coesite production closely related stress, reaction time, temperature, with formation being a multifactorial coupling process.
The body's adaptive reaction to a stressful event, an allostatic response, involves vigorous physiological engagement with and efficient recovery from stress. Our aim was to investigate the influence of individual predispositions on cardiac responses to and recovery from a standardized psychosocial stress task (Trier Social Stress Task) in peacekeepers. We hypothesized that those individuals wi...
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) as stress proteins have vital roles in plant adaptation to biotic and abiotic stresses. These proteins expressed in almost all kinds of stresses and are well known to be contribute in protection of cells. Among them the HSP90, HSP70 and smHSPs have significant roles in cell. In this study, the gene fragments of smHSP, HSP70 and HSP90 from Capparis spinosa L. plant wer...
Simultaneous measurements of fluorescence and thermal emission have been made by a combined fluorescence and photoacoustic techniques on isolated thylakoids pretreated by a prolonged illumination of saturating light. The traces of the signals are used to calculate four characteristic parameters, energy storage, half-saturation intensity, number of photons to close reaction center, and a constan...
Transmission of masticatory load in mandibular implant-retained overdentures was evaluated using a three-dimensional finite element model. The reaction forces on the distal edentulous mucosa and the stress on the perimplant bone were compared in overdentures retained either by two ball attachments or by two clips on a bar connecting two implants. In the finite element model, a 35 N load on the ...
Stress remodeling is a normal physiological response of bone. This is induced by changing forces as a result of increased exercise.1 A stress reaction represents an extreme of remodeling in which this physiological response becomes pathological. This term describes a bone injury that is detectable scintigraphically but not radiographically.2,3 A stress reaction within the plantarolateral condyl...
