Este trabalho discutirá o encaixe do gênero epistolar no panorama dos estudos culturais, utilizando como corpus as missivas escritor Josué Guimarães, sob guarda ALJOG/UPF, na Universidade de Passo Fundo. Constatou-se que nas cartas autor, percursos escrita literária e relatos um tempo foram recorrentes, auxiliando a descoberta daquilo provavelmente nunca foi evidenciado em outros pronunciamentos.
