261 We appreciate Dr. Yu Jin Kim for her insightful commentary on our recent article [1]. The additional masses that are mentioned in Dr. Yujin Kim’s commentary were attached to the two masses shown on the left side of the gross specimen figure, each with its own epidermal layer [1,2]. We report a 4-year-old boy with two areas of woolly hair in the right parietotemporal region and a linear epidermal nevus in the areas of woolly hair as well as in the ipsilateral hemiface and chin. Evaluation by scanning electron microscopy showed woolly hair with oval transverse section and longitudinal groove. A complete examination ruled out associated anomalies.

Epidermolytic acanthoma (EA) is a rare benign lesion described by Shapiro and Baraf in 1970. It typically presents clinically as a solitary, asymptomatic verrucous papule. Histologically, there is an epidermal proliferation (acanthoma) with epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, without the concomitant presence of signs suggestive of other cutaneous tumors. The presence of multiple EAs in the genital an...

A variety of treatment options exists for the management of giant congenital nevi. Confusion over appropriate management is compounded because not all giant congenital nevi are pigmented, and malignant potential varies between different types. The present study sought to define factors in the presentation of giant congenital nevi that could provide an algorithm for their management, with respec...

Darier disease (DD) is an autosomal-dominant skin disorder that is characterized by multiple keratotic papules, loss of epithelial adhesion, and abnormal keratinization. We describe an unusual case of late-onset unilateral segmental DD that follows the lines of Blaschko. Our patient did not exhibit other classic findings of DD. Our case and review of the literature suggest that lesions previous...
