We present predictions for μ → eγ and τ → μγ in the CMSSM in which there is a natural hierarchy of neutrino masses resulting from the sequential dominance of three right-handed neutrinos. We perform a full global analysis of this model in the (m0,M1/2) plane, assuming radiative electroweak symmetry breaking, and including all observed laboratory data. We confirm that a large (small) τ → μγ rate...
We show that the critical nonlinear elliptic Neumann problem ∆u− μu+ u = 0 in Ω, u > 0 in Ω and ∂u ∂ν = 0 on ∂Ω where Ω is a bounded and smooth domain in R, has arbitrarily many solutions, provided that μ > 0 is small enough. More precisely, for any positive integer K, there exists μK > 0 such that for 0 < μ < μK , the above problem has a nontrivial solution which blows up at K interior points ...
In the Littlest Higgs model, we comprehensively study the phenomenology of the heavy photon AH . In most of the parameter space, the AH is shown to be the lightest among newly introduced heavy gauge bosons and top-like vector quark. Unexpected behavior is that the lighter AH leads to more suppression of the corrections to the electroweak precision observables. For the global symmetry breaking s...
Current data implies three simple forms of the neutrino mass matrix, each corresponding to the conservation of a non–standard lepton charge. While models based on Le and Le−Lμ−Lτ are well–known, little attention has been paid to Lμ−Lτ . A low energy mass matrix conserving Lμ−Lτ implies quasi–degenerate light neutrinos. Moreover, it is μ–τ symmetric and therefore (in contrast to Le and Le − Lμ −...
We describe the structural and variable temperature magnetic susceptibility properties of an unusual homoleptic bimetallic iron(III) thiocyanate tetraanion. This work represents the first structurally characterized bis(μ-1,3-thiocyanato) dimer of iron(III). A weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction is observed between the two iron(III) ions, which is supported by broken symmetry density fun...
We propose a new minimal supersymmetric scenario with virtually no fine-tuning in the electroweak symmetry breaking. It favors light supersymmetric spectrum below a few TeV and predicts definite relations among stop and gaugino masses and LSP higgsino with μ . 200 GeV, which are within the reach of coming LHC experiment 1.
We give a generic method to select a realistic μ-term generation mechanism based on the radiative electroweak symmetry breaking scenario and study which type is hopeful within the framework of string theory. We discuss effects of the moduli F -term condensation and D-term contribution to soft scalar masses. e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: watanabe@a...
We draw some rigorous conclusions about the functional properties of the μ − ρ relation in the Hubbard model based on symmetry considerations and unitary transformations. It is shown that the charge susceptibility reaches its local extreme at half-filling. Exact expressions are obtained in two limiting cases. PACS number(s): 75.10.Lp,71.20.Ad,74.65.+n,74.20.Mn
The recently proposed supersymmetric A4 model of the neutrino mass matrix is modified to merge with a previously proposed axionic solution of the strong CP problem. The resulting model has only one input scale, i.e. that of A4 symmetry breaking, which determines both the seesaw neutrino mass scale and the axion decay constant. It also solves the μ problem and conserves R parity automatically.
Optimization problems appear in economics, mathematics, to name only a few areas. They refer to minimizing, respectively maximizing a certain functional under several constraints. These problems are also connected with rearrangements. Often times the minimizers, or maximizers satisfy certain symmetry and monotonicity conditions, i.e. increasing or decreasing. For (X,μ) a measure space, and F a ...
