We present preliminary results from a search for the rare, flavor-changing neutral current decays B → Kl+l− and B → K∗l+l−, where l+l− is either an e+e− or μ+μ− pair. The data sample comprises (84.4 ± 0.9) × 106 Υ (4S) → BB decays (77.8 fb−1) collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B Factory.
