Cloud computing has spurred the exploration and exploitation of elastic access to large scales of computing. To date the predominate building blocks by which elasticity has been exploited are applications and operating systems that are built around traditional computing infrastructure and programming models that are in-elastic or at best coarsely elastic. What would happen if application themse...

with the increasing population and the need for more food, as well as with the development of science and technology, human approach to unnatural and often chemical inputs to increase agricultural production has been a great expansion and problems such as increased cancers, chronic diseases has created environmental pollution. implementation of organic organic is a solution to these problems . ...

Abstract The derivation of nonlocal strong forms for many physical problems remains cumbersome in traditional methods. In this paper, we apply the variational principle/weighted residual method based on operator elasticity, thin plate, gradient electro-magneto-elasticity and phase-field fracture method. governing equations are expressed as an integral form support dual-support. first example sh...

A new fast multipole boundary element method (BEM) is presented in this paper for large-scale analysis of two-dimensional (2-D) elastostatic problems based on the direct boundary integral equation (BIE) formulation. In this new formulation, the fundamental solution for 2-D elasticity is written in a complex form using the two complex potential functions in 2-D elasticity. In this way, the multi...

In this paper we investigate the regularization and numerical solution of geometric inverse problems related to linear elasticity with minimal assumptions on the geometry of the solution. In particular we consider the probably severely ill-posed reconstruction problem of a twodimensional inclusion from a single boundary measurement. In order to avoid parameterizations, which would introduce a-p...

Abstract. A hybrid stress finite volume method is proposed for linear elasticity equations. In this new method, a finite volume formulation is used for the equilibrium equation, and a hybrid stress quadrilateral finite element discretization, with continuous piecewise isoparametric bilinear displacement interpolation and two types of stress approximation modes, is used for the constitutive equa...

The discretised linear elasticity problem is solved by the preconditioned conjugate gradient (pcg) method. Mainly we consider the linear isotropic case but we also comment on the more general linear orthotropic problem. The preconditioner is based on the separate displacement component (sdc) part of the equations of elasticity. The preconditioning system consists of two or three subsystems (in ...

An adaptive discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for linear elasticity problems is presented. We develop an a posteriori error estimate and prove its robustness with respect to nearly incompressible materials (absence of volume locking). Furthermore, we present some numerical experiments which illustrate the performance of the scheme on adaptively refined meshes.

The numerical solution of 3D linear elasticity equations is considered. The problem is described by a coupled system of second order elliptic partial differential equations. This system is discretized by trilinear parallelepipedal finite elements. The Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient iterative method is used for solving of the large-scale linear algebraic systems arising after the Finite Eleme...

The solutions to axially and centrally symmetric Lamé problems are derived within the displacement, stress and strain-based approach by the specification of the general boundary conditions which encompass all possible combinations of kinematic and kinetic conditions at the inner and outer boundaries. It is shown that the mathematical structure of the governing differential equations in the stra...
