The effect or temperature on the behavior of Cu(II) Mr electrode based on bis(N-sahcylidenc-3.3'-4iaminodiphenyl) sulfune(BSDDS) was studied. This electrode showed a good Nemstian response in the temperaturerange of 20-50 C. Also, the behavior of the synthesized electrode was inngigated in the mixed solvents'ethanol+water" and "dioxane +water'.

Here, a simple, quick, Low cost and sensitive Potentiometric method is described for tramadol hydrochloride measurement using .PVC membrane electrode based on neutral ligand (E)-N'-(1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)ethylidene)benzohydrazid. Besides, effect of various parameters like ionic additives, membrane solvent and pH on the Potentiometric response of the electrode are investigated. The best electrode p...

In this research, a coated graphite electrode was constructed for determination of Mg2+ in pharmaceutical supplements. The designed sensor demonstrates an ideal Nernstian slope (30.1 mV. Decade-1) over a wide concentration range (1×10-6- 1×10-1 Mol L-1). The selectivity of the sensor was evaluated over 16 different cations by matched potential method and no serious interference was observed fro...

A poly(vinyl chloride) membrane based on a new a-dioxime derivative as membrane carrier was prepared andinvestigated as a Cr(III) selective electrode. The electrode exhibits a good potentiometric response for Cr(III)over a wide concentration range 1.0 x 10-6 to 1.0 x 10-1 M with a slope 19.5+0.5 mV/decade and low detectionlimit of 8.9 x 10-7 M. It has a fast response time < 15 s. The best perfo...

Successful practice of clinical deep brain stimulation (DBS) calls for basic research on the mechanisms and explorations of new indications in animals. In the article, a new implantable, single-channel, low-power miniature device is proposed, which may transmit pulses chronically into the brain nucleus of freely moving rats. The DBS system consists of an implantable pulse generator (IPG), a bip...

We develop a model for a regenerative hydrogen-chlorine fuel cell (rHCFC) including four voltage loss mechanisms: hydrogen electrode activation, chlorine electrode activation, chlorine electrode mass transport, and ohmic loss through the membrane. The dependences of each of these losses as a function of two “operating parameters,” acid concentration and temperature; and five “engineering parame...

Hydrophobic magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) consisting of undecanoate-capped magnetite (Fe3O4, average diameter ca. 5 nm) are used to control quantized electron transfer to surface-confined redox units and metal NPs. A two-phase system consisting of an aqueous electrolyte solution and a toluene phase that includes the suspended undecanoatecapped magnetic NPs is used to control the interfacial prop...

The neural mechanisms that underlie consciousness are not fully understood. We describe a region in the human brain where electrical stimulation reproducibly disrupted consciousness. A 54-year-old woman with intractable epilepsy underwent depth electrode implantation and electrical stimulation mapping. The electrode whose stimulation disrupted consciousness was between the left claustrum and an...

Femtosecond laser surface processing (FLSP) is a machining technique used to develop functionalized surfaces consisting of micro and nano-scale features. Metal electrodes processed using this technique can be used in water electrolysis to facilitate more efficient hydrogen and oxygen gas production. This thesis explores the electrochemical behavior of femtosecond laser processed 316SS electrode...
