At the PANIC conference in Osaka in October 2002, a collaboration working at SPring-8 announced a baryon state, the Θ(1540) with a decay mode Θ → nK. Assuming the decay is not Weak, that meant it had strangeness +1, and therefore was an exotic state (“exotic” in the sense that it is a baryon that cannot be a q state). It can be a ududs̄ state: a pentaquark. It has since been found at other labs ...

Using data collected with the CLEO detector operating at the CESR e+e− collider at √ s = 3.974.26GeV, we investigate 15 charmonium decay modes of the ψ(4040), ψ(4160), and Y (4260) resonances. We confirm, at 11σ significance, the BaBar Y (4260)→ π+π−J/ψ discovery, make the first observation of Y (4260) → π0π0J/ψ (5.1σ), and find the first evidence for Y (4260) → K+K−J/ψ (3.7σ). We measure e+e− ...

Using the gauge/string duality, we model a heavy quark-antiquark pair in color singlet state moving through cold medium and explore consequences of temperature velocity on string breaking. In doing so, restrict to case two dynamical flavors. We show that breaking distance slowly varies with away from critical line but could fall near it.

Abstract We evaluate the accuracy to be expected for measurement of free fall acceleration antihydrogen in GBAR experiment, accounting recoil transferred photodetachment process. show that uncertainty on gravity comes mainly from initial velocity dispersion ion trap so is not limiting factor precision as a naive analysis would suggest. This result will ease constraints choice laser parameters.

The stirring of a small, passive heterogeneity in an unsteady circulation is investigated by following the boundary of the heterogeneity; the circulation mimics features of plate-scale flow. After initial release, the heterogeneity is stirred and subsequently consists of at least one large "blob" connected to long, but thin tendrils. Tendrils exponentially lengthen and exponentially thin with t...

We consider simultaneous optical data obtained during the recent X-ray turn-off of CAL 83. Combining the optical behaviour with the observed X-ray decay time, we show that a model of cessation of steady nuclear burning is viable if the white dwarf is massive. Our model provides a natural explanation for the subsequent return of the supersoft X-ray emission.

in this paper the problem on “magnetic fluid lubrication of porous-pivoted slider bearing with slip velocity by n ahmad et.al.[7]” has been recapitulated using jenkin’s model [4] with the additional effect of squeeze velocity of the above plate. it is found that while discussing the above problem, [7] has stated but ignored the term , where +, in their study (refer equation(2.2)). this paper re...

parameterized by μ > 0, and prove a representation theorem for its solutions using the theory of special functions. This representation is used to obtain Lp–Lq estimates for the solution and for the energy operator corresponding to this Cauchy problem. Especially for the L2 energy estimate we determine the part of the phase space which is responsible for the decay rate. It will be shown that th...
