これまでの木質接合部のせん断性能に関する研究事例を見ると，部材同士に摩擦抑制を施さずに力学試験を実施する事例や，様々な処理により摩擦を発生させない工夫を施す事例が散見している。しかしながら，摩擦抑制処理が接合部のせん断性能の評価結果に及ぼす影響については不明であった。そこで，この影響の解明を目的に，ボルト接合部，釘接合部，ビス接合部を用いて力学試験を実施した。摩擦抑制処理として，接合具を緩く留め付ける方法と，テフロンシートとグリスを用いる方法を採用した。荷重－変位関係から，摩擦抑制処理を施すことで，試験初期の静止摩擦を抑えられていることを確認できた。また，接合具を緩く留め付ける方法では，試験初期の摩擦は十分に抑えられているが，せん断試験の進行にともなって摩擦抵抗力を発現する様子が明らかになった。摩擦抑制処理の影響は力学特性値にも顕著に現れており，特に，初期剛性は27～48％低下した。
