in this paper, we propose a new method for fuzzy numbers. in this method, we assume that ai= (ai1, ai2, ai3, ai4) is to be a fuzzy number. so, the convex combination of ai1 and ai2 and also the convex combination of ai3 and ai4 are obtained separately. then, mic and mis that are to be the convex combinations and the standard deviation respectively we acquire them from these components. finally,...
the importance as well as the difficulty of the problem of ranking fuzzy numbers is pointed out. here we consider approaches to the ranking of fuzzy numbers based upon the idea of associating with a fuzzy number a scalar value, its signal/noise ratios, where the signal and the noise are defined as the middle-point and the spread of each $gamma$-cut of a fuzzy number, respectively. we use the va...
In this paper we present some definitions which are the natural combination of the definition of asymptotic equivalence, statistical convergence, lacunary statistical convergence of fuzzy real numbers and ideal. In addition, we also present asymptotically ideal equivalent sequences of fuzzy real numbers and establish some relations related to this concept. Finally we introduce the notion of Ces...

Fuzzy equivalents of all the classical capital budgeting (investment choice) methods are generalised or proposed. These equivalents can be used to evaluate and compare projects in which the cash ows, duration time and required rate of return (cost of capital) are given imprecisely, in the form of a fuzzy number. c © 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. This note is a rejoinder on our paper in this issue. It attempts to provide some clari cations and thoughts in connection with the discussions/comments made about it by Didier Dubois and Sébastien Destercke. We hope our comments are at the level of the discussants'.
In this paper we consider how to use the convolution method to construct approximations, which consist of fuzzy numbers sequences with good properties, for a general fuzzy number. It shows that this convolution method can generate differentiable approximations in finite steps for fuzzy numbers which have finite nondifferentiable points. In the previous work, this convolution method only can be ...
