Keywords: Fractional differential equations Impulsive fractional differential equations Impulse General solution Existence a b s t r a c t In this paper, for impulsive differential equations with fractional-order q 2 ð0; 1Þ, we show that the formula of solutions in cited papers are incorrect. Secondly, we find out a formula of the general solution for impulsive Cauchy problem with Caputo fracti...

May of the oscillation results for linear impulsive equations were justified by the following scheme. First, the equivalence of the oscillation of the impulsive equation and some specially constructed nonimpulsive equation was established; further, on the base of well-known results for the nonimpulsive case, the oscillation of the impulsive equation was analyzed. In the present paper, we prove ...

In this project, fuzzy impulsive control is used for stabilization of chaotic systems based on the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) model. The stability issue of the general nonlinear impulsive control system is first investigated via comparison criterion. Then, a novel impulsive control scheme is presented for chaotic systems based on the T–S fuzzy model. Some sufficient conditions are given to stabilize t...

In this paper, a new impulsive control strategy, namely pinning impulsive control, is proposed for the stabilization problem of nonlinear dynamical networks with time-varying delay. In this strategy, only a small fraction of nodes is impulsively controlled to globally exponentially stabilize the whole dynamical network. By employing the Lyapunov method combined with the mathematical analysis ap...

The present study was conducted to examine psychophysiological differences in arousability among individuals who display impulsive aggressive outbursts. Amplitude and latency for the mid-latency evoked potentials (P1, N1 and P2) were obtained at scalp electrode sites. The evoking stimuli were three intensities (low, medium, high) of photic stimulation. Compared to non-aggressive controls, impul...

Although dual-task interference is ubiquitous in a variety of task domains, stop-signal studies suggest that response inhibition is not subject to such interference. Nevertheless, no study has directly examined stop-signal performance in a dual-task setting. In two experiments, stop-signal performance was examined in a psychological refractory period task, in which subjects inhibited one respon...

The standard bottleneck model of the psychological refractory period (PRP) assumes that the selection of the second response is postponed until the first response has been selected. Accordingly, dual-task interference is attributed to a single central-processing bottleneck involving decision and response selection, but not the execution of the response itself. In order to critically examine the...

We generalize the classical Cayley-Dickson doubling process starting with a quaternion algebra over a field F by allowing the scalar in the doubling to be an invertible element in the algebra. We investigate the resulting eight-dimensional algebras over F and show that they are division algebras for all scalars chosen in D outside of the base field F , if D is a division algebra.

The hypothesis that episodic memory retrieval can occur in parallel with other cognitive processes was tested in 2 experiments. Participants memorized words and then performed speeded cued recall (Experiment 1) or speeded yes-no recognition (Experiment 2) in a dual-task situation. The psychological refractory period design was used: The participant was presented with a single test item at vario...
