Pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDHb) phosphatase has been purified to apparent homogeneity from mitochondria of the adult parasitic nematode, Ascaris suum. The enzyme is a heterodimer of 89 and 50 kDa, as judged by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
