Transitive closures of the covering relation in semilattices are investigated. Vyšetřuj́ı se tranzitivńı uzávěry pokrývaćı relace v polosvazech. This very short note is an immediate continuation of [1]. We therefore refer to [1] as for terminology, notation, various remarks, further references, etc. 1. The covering relation in semilattices Throughout the note, let S = S(+) be a semilattice (i. e...

Wave propagation problems play an important role, not only in the scientific community, but also in industry. Think of acoustic scattering, sound radiation and other related problems. A common feature of these problems is the large or even infinite extension of the acoustic domain compared to the rather limited extension of the surface of the embedded scatterer. The appropriateness of solving s...

In his paper on well-quasi-ordering infinite trees (Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 61 (1965) 697), Nash-Williams proposed the conjecture that the class of all graphs (finite or infinite) is well-quasi-ordered by the immersion relation (which is denoted here by p1). In addition, in a subsequent paper, Nash-Williams discussed a weaker version of his original conjecture to the effect that the class ...

in this paper we consider the group algebra $r(c_2times‎ ‎d_infty)$‎. ‎it is shown that $r(c_2times d_infty)$ can be‎ ‎represented by a $4times 4$ block circulant matrix‎. ‎it is also‎ ‎shown that $mathcal{u}(mathbb{z}_2(c_2times d_infty))$ is‎ ‎infinitely generated‎.

Let (A,1) be a partially ordered set. The relation a 1 b can be read as “a precedes b”. For elements a and b in A, we write a ≺ b if and only if a 1 b and a 6= b holds. For notational convenience, we also write a o b if and only if a 1 b holds, and a  b if and only if a ≺ b holds. We call (A,1) a well-founded set if and only if every non-empty subset M of A contains at least one minimal elemen...

The cotranslational, primary self-cleavage reaction of cardiovirus polyprotein relies on a highly conserved, short segment of amino acids at the 2A-2B protein boundary. The amino terminus of the required element for encephalomyocarditis virus has now been mapped to include Tyr(126) of the 2A protein, the 18th amino acid before the cleavage site.

We theoretically investigate the Fermi-edge singularity in a spin-incoherent Luttinger liquid. Both cases of finite and infinite core hole mass are explored, as well as the effect of a static external magnetic field of arbitrary strength. For a finite mass core hole the absorption edge behaves as (omega-omega th)alpha/square root of absolute value (ln(omega-omega th)) for frequencies omega just...

The origin of DNA replication of porcine circovirus (PCV) was mapped to a 111-bp fragment. On top of a hairpin, a nonanucleotide (TAGTATTAC) homologous to nonanucleotides of other viruses was identified. Mutation of this element abolishes replication. PCV may be related to a virus family characterized by single-stranded circular DNA genomes, rolling-circle replication, and homology of their rep...

In this article, briefly the Smith chart is mapped with an artificial neural network (ANN) covering its whole details to be exploited CAD of the microwave circuitry. Thus, relative to the similar works in the existing literature, this article provides the continuous Smith chart domain to facilitate the ‘‘Smith chart’’ methodology in solving the highly nonlinear transformation equations between ...

Human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8; Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus is linked to Kaposi's sarcoma (KS), primary effusion lymphoma (PEL), and multicentric Castleman's disease (MCD), all of which are viewed as cytokine-driven malignancies. In particular, interleukin-6 (IL-6) has been found to promote the growth and proliferation of cells from KS and PEL. HHV-8 encodes a homologue of IL-6 (viral I...
