1. Introduction To produce modern magnetic materials the rapid cooling from the melt is used very often. The as-prepared material is in an amorphous or microcrystalline form and its optimal properties can be reached after a specific heat treatment. This process results in irreversible changes in the structure and orientation. As a typical example, there are the nanocrystalline materials gained ...

Electron spin resonance (ESR), constant photocurrent method (CPM), photothermal de ̄ection spectroscopy (PDS), Raman and IR spectroscopy have been used to measure microcrystalline silicon ®lms. Besides standard defects with a g-value of 2.0055, new defects with a g-value 2.0030 have been created during annealing this material. Proportionality between the subgap optical absorption and ESR spin de...

Dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) is an efficient method to overcome the inherent low sensitivity of magic-angle spinning (MAS) solid-state NMR. We report a new polarizing agent (), designed for biological applications, that yielded an enhancement value of 244 in a microcrystalline SH3 domain sample at 110 K.

Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) was prepared from sugarcane bagasse (SCB) after alkali extraction with sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The MCC treated methylene blue solution. Batch experiments were performed to investigate the effect of contact time, initial dye concentration, pH and adsorbent dosage on adsorption. result shows that adsorption onto influenced by dose, time values. For higher removal...

Here we describe, for the first time, intriguing solvato-morphological control of spiropyran-based microcrystalline structures. These microstructures exhibit reversible photoisomerization upon light irradiation (UV/Vis) in the solid-state. Finally, light-guided aggregation of these microstructures at the liquid/air interface is also demonstrated.

Colorless crystals of (CH3NH3·H2O)PbI3 spontaneously lose water at 298 K which triggers a transformation to the black (CH3NH3)PbI3 perovskite in the solid state as a porous microcrystalline solid with nanoscale substructure, but the dihydrate (CH3NH3)4PbI6·2H2O) requires much more forcing conditions to produce (CH3NH3)PbI3.

The strength and ductility of microcrystalline and nanocrystalline tungstsen carbide–cobalt (WC–Co) cermets have been evaluated by employing a stored energy Kolsky bar apparatus, high-speed photography and digital image correlation. The test specimens were thin-walled tubular Al7075-T6 substrates 250 μm thick, coated with a 300 μm thick microcrystalline or nanocrystalline WC–Co layer with an av...

The dissolution characteristics of melt granulations of paracetamol in capsule and tablet dosage form were compared to determine whether the dissolution characteristics of the granules can be actualized by formulating them as rapidly disintegrating tablets. The term melt granulation refers here to the wax-matrix granules that were formed by triturating the drug powder (paracetamol) with a melte...
