In these research paper two designs such as rectangular microstrip antenna and concentric equilateral triangular microstrip antenna are presented. The resonant frequency of this antenna is 8 GHz suitable for wireless applications. The antenna is fed by microstrip feeding technique. Design of an antenna using ADS (Advanced Design System), based on MoM (Method of Moments) has been used to analyze...

Recently, several designs of single fed circularly polarized microstrip antennas have been studied. Relatively, a few designs for achieving circular polarization using triangular microstrip antenna are available. Typically existing design of single fed circularly polarized triangular microstrip antennas include the use of equilateral triangular patch with a slit or a horizontal slot on the patc...

The need for development of microstrip patch antennas for ultra-wideband (UWB) communications has been very well recognized.UWB antennas are mainly used for wearable MIMO sytems, weather mesurements and also UWB radar applications. Patch antenna can be a good choice for handheld devices in UWB applications. There was a great success in finding a suitable structure for mobile applications. This pap...

This paper presents the electrically small U-slot loaded circular microstrip patch antenna with Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR). The technique of U slot loading is used for operating antenna in dual band and CSRR technique to make antenna compact and CSRR for compactness is used. The simple circular patch antenna resonates at 5. 71 GHz with return loss of -11. 38 dB. The proposed ante...

The finite element modeling of three dimensional structures is important for researchers especially in the field of antennas and other domains of electromagnetic waves. This paper presents a finite element calculations and numerical analysis for the microstrip patch antennas. In this paper, two different designs have been modelled and analyzed and both designs are based on the rectangular patch...

Abstract: In this paper a simple and light weight microstrip patch antenna has been presented. This antena is designed on a FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.3 and 1.6 mm thickness. The designed antenna is simmulated and anyalized for Body-centric Wireless Communication (BCWC) application, which operates at 5.126 GHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) Hyper Local Area Network (...

This paper focuses on the development of a novel single layer dual band proximity fed gap coupled microstrip array antenna. A basic 2x1 microstrip patch array consisting of a pair of rectangular patches which are coupled with a centrally placed microstrip line in the same plane and an arrow headed dumbbell shaped slot in the ground plane is investigated. By using two additional parasitic patche...

This paper covers two aspects of Microstrip antenna designs. The first is the analysis and design of single element rectangular Microstrip antenna which operates at the centre frequency of 2. 4 GHz. The second aspect is the design of dual band rectangular microstrip antenna which operates at 2. 4 GHz and 3. 6 GHz used in 802. 11b/g/n and 802. 11y WLAN channels respectively. Both antennas are mo...

In our paper, an inset-fed microstrip patch antenna has been designed and the dependency of resonant frequency on the notch gap and the feed line geometry has been studied. Our study suggests that a narrower notch resulted in better impedance matching. A design rule has also been formulated and presented the performance of the proposed design. Key-Words: Inset-fed, microstrip antenna

In this paper a microstrip antenna on a suspended substrate with capacitive feed is presented. capacitive feed is created by a slot within the rectangular patch around the feed point. The proposed antenna exhibits a much higher impedance bandwidth of about 47% (S11 < −10 dB). Effects of key design parameters such as the air gap between the substrate and the ground plane, the gap width between r...
