MIL-53(Fe) is a metal organic framework that has been recently considered heterogeneous photocatalyst candidate for the degradation of water pollutants under visible or solar radiation, though stability studies are rather scarce in literature. In this work, was successfully synthesized by solvothermal method and fully characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), attenuated total reflectance Fourier t...

OBJECTIVES To demonstrate that the combination of nonviral murine interleukin (mIL) 2 and mIL-12 gene therapy and external beam radiation therapy (XRT) have an enhanced therapeutic effect for the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) in an orthotopic murine model and to elucidate the mechanism of action. DESIGN A randomized, controlled study in a murine HNSCC model. INT...

Hybrid Metal Organic-Frameworks (MOF)/polymer materials have gathered many researcher’s consideration thanks to their varied functionalities and high processability. Herein, Organic Frameworks (MOFs) been successfully incorporated into an acrylate polymer network by photopolymerization upon mild visible light irradiation at 405 nm. The synthesized MOF/polymer composites were very efficient for ...

Time-resolved single-crystal diffraction performed with synchrotron radiation shows that the 53(1) micros phosphorescent state, generated in the crystalline phase of trimeric {[3,5-(CF3)(2)Pyrazolate]Cu}(3) molecules by exposure to 355 nm of light at 17 K, is due to the formation of an excimer rather than the shortening of the intramolecular Cu...Cu distances within the trimeric units, or the f...

This paper introduces modal independence logic MIL, a modal logic that can explicitly talk about independence among propositional variables. Formulas of MIL are not evaluated in worlds but in sets of worlds, so called teams. In this vein, MIL can be seen as a variant of Väänänen’s modal dependence logic MDL. We show that MIL embeds MDL and is strictly more expressive. However, on singleton team...

Two mononuclear Cu(II) complexes with tetrapeptides incorporating a L-2,3-diaminopropionic acid (dap) branching unit are reported to undergo PCET and catalyse water oxidation. C-terminal His extension of dap (L = 2GH) instead of Gly (L = 3G) lowers the pKa for Cu(III)H-2L (9.36 vs. 9.98) and improves the TOF at pH 11 (53 vs. 24 s(-1)).

To gain insight into the mechanisms involved in regulating murine interleukin-3 (mIL-3) receptor expression, we have examined the effects of mIL-3 and murine granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (mGM-CSF) on mIL-3 receptor internalization and re-expression and studied the relationship between mIL-3 cell surface receptor density and growth factor sensitivity. As a source of cells for...

Arrays of aligned multi-walled carbon nanotube-ionic liquid (MIL) were assembled on silicon wafers (Si-MIL). Formation of Si-MIL was confirmed by FTIR, AFM and Raman techniques. The electrochemical measurements indicated that Si-MIL showed good electrocatalysis towards oxygen reduction compared with MIL drop-cast on a glassy carbon electrode.

We present a synergistic experimental and theoretical study of CO(2)/CH(4) mixture coadsorption in breathing metal-organic framework MIL-53(Al). Mixture adsorption experiments were performed and their results were analyzed by comparing them to predictions made from pure-component adsorption data using the Osmotic Framework Adsorption Solution Theory (OFAST). This analytical model, fully validat...
