We study existence and uniqueness of a mild solution in the space of continuous functions and existence of an invariant measure for a class of reaction-diffusion systems on bounded domains of R , perturbed by a multiplicative noise. The reaction term is assumed to have polynomial growth and to be locally Lipschitz-continuous and monotone. The noise is white in space and time if d = 1 and colour...
We introduce a method for reconstructing macroscopic models of one-dimensional stochastic processes with long-range correlations from sparsely sampled time series by combining fractional calculus and discrete-time Langevin equations. The is illustrated the ARFIMA(1,d,0) process nonlinear autoregressive toy model multiplicative noise. reconstruct daily mean temperature data recorded at Potsdam, ...
The calculus of variations is a field mathematical analysis born in 1687 with Newton’s problem minimal resistance, which concerned the maxima or minima integral functionals. Finding solution such problems leads to solving associated Euler–Lagrange equations. subject has found many applications over centuries, e.g., physics, economics, engineering and biology. Up this moment, however, theory bee...
is manuscript is the lecture notes for the course of the same title I gave at the Summer school on linear logic and geometry of interaction that took place in Torino in August 2013. e aim of this course is to give a broad introduction to linear logic, covering enough ground to present many of the ideas and techniques of the field, while staying at a (hopefully) accessible level for beginners....

We introduce C∗-pseudo-multiplicative unitaries and concrete Hopf C∗-bimodules for the study of quantum groupoids in the setting of C∗-algebras. These unitaries and Hopf C∗-bimodules generalize multiplicative unitaries and Hopf C∗-algebras and are analogues of the pseudo-multiplicative unitaries and Hopf–von Neumann-bimodules studied by Enock, Lesieur and Vallin. To each C∗-pseudo-multiplicativ...
We refine a model for linear logic based on two well-known ingredients: games and simulations. We have already shown that usual simulation relations form a sound notion of morphism between games; and that we can interpret all linear logic in this way. One particularly interesting point is that we interpret multiplicative connectives by synchronous operations on games. We refine this work by giv...
Proof nets can be seen as a multiple conclusion natural deduction system for Linear Logic (LL) and form a good formalism to analyze some computation mechanisms, for instance in type-theoretic interpretations. This paper presents an algorithm for automated proof nets construction in the non-commutative multiplicative linear logic that is useful for applications including planning, concurrency or...
The proof-theoretic approach to logic programming has benefited from the introduction of focused proof systems, through the non-determinism reduction and control they provide when searching for proofs in the sequent calculus. However, this technique was not available in the calculus of structures, known for inducing even more non-determinism than other logical formalisms. This work in progress ...
Our purpose is to deal with quadratic operators acting between vector lattices of continuous mappings on a compact Hausdorff space. In our first main result we characterize quadratic-multiplicative operators, whereas in the second one we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for a quadratic operator to be proportional to the square of a continuous linear operator.
