A new species of the genus Pseudomegischus van Achterberg, Pseudomegischus yunnanensis sp. n., is described and illustrated from Yunnan Province, China. This is the second species of the genus reported from China. A modified section of the identification key to species of Pseudomegischus is added to include the new species.

Paederus (Gnathopaederus) xuei Peng & Li sp. n. (Yunnan: Dawei Shan) and P. (G.) cheni Peng & Li sp. n. (Hunan: Badagong Shan) are described and illustrated. Additional records of P. (G.) bursavacua Willers, 2001, P. (G.) szechuanus (Chapin, 1927) and P. (G.) yunnanensis Willers, 2001 are reported.

Heteropsilopus, previously believed to be restricted to southern Australia, south-western India and Sri Lanka, is reported from China for the first time. Two species, Heteropsilopus yunnanensis sp. nov. and Amblypsilopus curvus sp. nov., are described as new to science. The latter belongs to the Amblypsilopus flaviappendiculatus group.
