It was revealed that in the Tabriz region of the Islamic Republic of Iran the total amount of selenium in the poultry food and water was respectively 0.052+/-0.006 mg/kg and 0.008+/-0.001 mg/l. It is less than norm accepted in literature for poultry. That why selenium supplementation in the food allowances of poultry can positively effect on level of their productivity.
