Boolean functions (BFs) are central in many fields of engineering and mathematics, such as cryptography, circuit design, and combinatorics. Moreover, they provide a simple framework for studying neural computation mechanisms of the brain. Many representation schemes for BFs exist to satisfy the needs of the domain they are used in. In neural computation, it is of interest to know how many input...

Automatically identifying the polarity of words is a very important task in Natural Language Processing. It has applications in text classification, text filtering, analysis of product review, analysis of responses to surveys, and mining online discussions. We propose a method for identifying the polarity of words. We apply a Markov random walk model to a large word relatedness graph, producing...

Let a topological space. An intersection graph on a topological space , which denoted by ‎ , is an undirected graph which whose vertices are open subsets of and two vertices are adjacent if the intersection of them are nonempty. In this paper, the relation between topological properties of  and graph properties of ‎  are investigated. Also some classifications and representations for the graph ...

In this paper, we introduce admissible vectors of covariant representations of a dynamical system which are extensions of the usual ones, and compare them with each other. Also, we give some sufficient conditions for a vector to be admissible vector of a covariant pair of a dynamical system.  In addition, we show the existence of Parseval frames for some special subspaces of $L^2(G)$ related to...

The article is devoted to the study of language representations of the concept of “woman” in the minds of the Russian and Chinese people based on a comparison of associative experiments of two languages, identifying the dynamics of the concept in the language consciousness of the people, establishing the specificity of the concept in the Russian language picture of the world referring to the Ch...

‎In this paper‎, ‎we find a relation between the proportionality factors which arise from the functional equations of two families of local Rankin-Selberg convolutions for‎ ‎irreducible admissible representations of orthogonal groups‎, ‎or unitary groups‎. ‎One family is that of local integrals of the doubling method‎, ‎and the other family is‎ ‎that of local integrals expressed in terms of sph...

In this paper, a commutative semigroup will be written as a disjoint union of its cancellative subsemigroups. Based on this fact we will define the left regular representation of a commutative separative semigroup and show that this representation is faithful. Finally concrete examples of commutative separative semigroups, their decompositions and their left regular representations are given.

Taking advantage of the very precise de Jager et al. optical white dwarf orbit and spin ephemerides; ASCA, XMM-Newton, and Chandra X-ray observations spread over 10 yrs; and a cumulative 27 yr baseline, we have found that in recent years the white dwarf in AE Aqr is spinning down at a rate that is slightly faster than predicted by the de Jager et al. spin ephemeris. At the present time, the obs...

We report a novel network reconstruction method, which combines constraintbased and Bayesian frameworks to reliably reconstruct graphical models despite inherent sampling noise in finite observational datasets. The approach is based on an information theory result tracing back the existence of colliders in graphical models to negative conditional 3-point information between observed variables. ...

When a gauge theory with gauge group G is broken by a dynamical condensate C that transforms nontrivially under G, with covariant derivative (DμC) , the leading derivative term (DμC) (DC)A in the effective action can have a coefficient α of general sign and magnitude. The case α > 0 corresponds to the usual Higgs phase, but the cases α = 0 and α < 0 correspond to new phases with novel propertie...
