in this paper, we first introduce some function spaces, with certain locally convex topologies, closely related to the space of real-valued continuous functions on $x$, where $x$ is a $c$-distinguished topological space. then, we show that their dual spaces can be identified in a natural way with certain spaces of radon measures.
Abstract. A topological group H is called ω -narrow if for every neighbourhood V of it’s identity element there exists a countable set A such that V A = H = AV. A semigroup G is called a generalized group if for any x ∈ G there exists a unique element e(x) ∈ G such that xe(x) = e(x)x = x and for every x ∈ G there exists x − 1 ∈ G such that x − 1x = xx − 1 = e(x). Also le...
In the paper we study (countably) compact and (absolutely) H-closed primitive topological inverse semigroups. We describe the structure of compact and countably compact primitive topological inverse semigroups and show that any countably compact primitive topological inverse semigroup embeds into a compact primitive topological inverse semigroup. In this paper all spaces are Hausdorff. A semigr...
In the presentwork, usingMinkowski functionals in topological vector spaces, we establish the equivalence between some fixed point results in metric and in (topological vector space) cone metric spaces. Thus, a lot of results in the cone metric setting can be directly obtained from their metric counterparts. In particular, a common fixed point theorem for f -quasicontractions is obtained. Our a...
In point set topology—or, more precisely, in the part of it once called "theory of abstract spaces"—there are two principal methods of investigation. The first one refers to the topological space alone(2) ; we shall call it the internal method : for example the separation axioms Po, Pi, T2 [A-H], the notions of regularity, normality, compactness, are expressed in terms of the topological space ...
A Riemann-Roch theorem asserts that some algebraically defined wrong– way map in K-theory agrees with a topologically defined one [BFM]. Bismut and Lott [BiLo] proved a Riemann–Roch theorem for smooth fiber bundles in which the topologically defined wrong–way map is the homotopy transfer of Becker–Gottlieb and Dold. We generalize their theorem, refine it, and prove a converse stating that an ap...
In this paper T , U are non empty topological spaces, t is a point of T , and n is a natural number. Let S be a topological space and let T be a non empty topological space. Note that every function from S into T which is constant is also continuous. The following two propositions are true: (1) L01(0, 1, 0, 1) = id[0, 1]T . (2) For all real numbers r1, r2, r3, r4, r5, r6 such that r1 < r2 and r...
The notion of fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded BCK-algebra is introduced. We discuss the relation between fuzzy s-prime filters and fuzzy prime filters. By the fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded commutative BCK-algebra X, we establish a fuzzy topological structure on X. We prove that the set of all fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded commutative BCK-algebra forms a topological space. Moreover, ...
We introduce the notion of (r,s)-connected sets in intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces and investigate some properties of them. In particular, we show that every (r,s)-component in an intuitionistic fuzzy topological space is (r,s)-component in the stratification of it.
These notes give a summary of results that everyone who does work in functional analysis should know about the weak topology on locally convex topological vector spaces and the weak-* topology on their dual spaces. The most striking of the results we prove is Theorem 9, which shows that a subset of a locally convex space is bounded if and only if it is weakly bounded. It is straightforward to p...
