In this paper, we analyze the impact of nonlinear high-power amplifier (HPA) on the performance of cooperative network based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing combined with time-division multiplexing (OFDM/TDM) using minimum mean-square-error frequency-domain combining (MMSE-FDC) in a frequency-selective fading channel. We design a novel MMSE-FDC weights while taking into account th...
This paper presents a study of the effects of line width on the resonance frequency and bandwidth of a microstrip squarering antenna at its primary resonance frequency. Although such ring antennas operating in TM11 mode are smaller than regular patch antennas, they are not explored much as they are considered to have poor bandwidth and efficiency at this mode. We have used a transmission line m...
A compact cross, circular and square shaped slotted microstrip patch antennas are designed for circularly polarized (CP) radiation. The designed antenna is fabricated on RO4003C substrate and measured using Agilent network analyzer. The simulated return loss of this proposed antenna is less than -16dB at 920MHz with a bandwidth of 3MHz which is most suitable for RFID application. The circular p...
A compact cross, circular and square shaped slotted microstrip patch antennas are designed for circularly polarized (CP) radiation. Asymmetric, cross-shaped slot is embedded along one of the diagonal axes of the square patch for CP radiation and antenna size reduction. The designed antenna is contrived by using RT-Durid 5880 substrate . The design simulation and optimization is done by ADS soft...
A single-layer, bandpass, active FSS is presented. It shows good angle of incidence stability for TE incidence, at the operating frequency of 2.45 GHz. It is based on circular loop aperture with each unit cell having four PIN diodes. A novel method for dc biasing is used. About 12 dB average variation in transmission loss, between ON and OFF states, has been experimentally achieved at 2.45 GHz.
