We report the first observation of discrete Talbot revivals in one-dimensional waveguide arrays. Unlike continuous systems where the Talbot self-imaging effect always occurs irrespective of the pattern period, in discrete configurations this process is only possible for a specific set of periodicities. Recurrence of different input periodic patterns is observed in good agreement with theory.
The slotted waveguide slow-wave stochastic cooling arrays are an integral part of the 4-8 GHz Debuncher Upgrade at FNAL. Unlike the standard array of stripline electrodes, these structures are designed to work when the beam pipe can support many microwave modes. The design theory and beam measurement results of this new type of pickup structure will be presented in this paper.
Electromagnetic bandgap structures formed by circular posts of magnetized ferrite stacked in a rectangular waveguide is analyzed using the image theory, the lattice sums technique, and the generalized reflection and transmission matrices.
