The genetic architecture of a phenotype consists of the genes, the interactions among them (epistasis), and the interactions among genes and environments (G · E) that affect the phenotype’s expression (Wade et al., 2001). For a phenotype with a ‘complex’ genetic architecture, epistasis and G · E play significant roles as opposed to a phenotype with a ‘simple’ architecture, in which interactions...

The formal ADL Wright allows to describe the structural and behavioral aspects ofabstract software architecture. The behavioral aspects are described in CSP and checked using themodel-checker FDR. While the ADL Wright does not offer any means to realize such architecturesabstract. The objective of this work is to open up the ADL Wright for Ada through an automatedapproach based ...

Boeck's sarcoid frequently produces widespread roentgenologic evidence of pulmonary disease without clinical signs or symptoms. Wright and Filley (1) reported normal pulmonary function studies in one such case. Others (2, 3, 4, 5) have reported a variety of effects of more advanced sarcoidosis on pulmonary function. This report is a study of pulmonary function in six cases of Boeck's sarcoid an...

Eliminativism is a peripheral (if not dead) position in the current biological function debate, and it roughly presented as thesis that terms are eliminable discourse. While eliminativism often assumed inadequate, detailed examination of lacking literature. Accordingly, this article provides critical eliminativism. This consists three parts: clarification supporting arguments for (based on hist...

Recently, some researchers determined lower bounds for the normalized version of special functions to its sequence partial sums, e.g., Struve and Dini functions, Wright Miller–Ross functions. In this paper, we determine Le Roy-type Mittag-Leffler function Fα,βγ(z)=z+∑n=1∞Anzn+1, where An=ΓβΓα(n−1)+βγ sums (Fα,βγ(z))m(z)=z+∑n=1mAnzn+1. Several examples main results are also considered.

Ehrlich's days were filled with an excited, enthusiastic concentration on his scientific ideas and plans for research. He made three great contributions: (1) Invented modern cytological staining methods based on chemical affinities betwen dyes and cell structures; (2) His studies of Immunology won him a Nobel prize in 1908; (3) He invented scientific chemotherapy. In well-planned research he an...

Johnson and Wright ~hereafter J&W! claim, in their brief communication entitled “Reply to Philipona and O’Regan” that there are various difficulties in the reasoning in Philipona and O’Regan’s ~2006! paper entitled “Color naming, unique hues and hue cancellation predicted from singularities in reflection properties,” which was published in this journal in 2006. These difficulties supposedly pre...
