The title compound, C(12)H(16)ClNO(2)S, adopts an L-shaped conformation, with the central C-S-N-C torsion angle being -78.0 (2)°. The cyclo-hexyl ring adopts a chair conformation. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are connected by pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds around an inversion centre, forming cyclic dimers [graph set R(2) (2)(8)].
In the crystal of the title compound, C(7)H(5)ClN(2)O(3), the molecules are linked by N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The π-π contact between the benzene rings, [centroid-centroid distance = 3.803 (3) Å] may further stabilize the structure.
Mol-ecules of the title compound, C(11)H(10)ClN, are essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms = 0.009 Å) and are stacked along the a axis with the centroids of the benzene and pyridine rings alternately separated by 3.649 (1) and 3.778 (1) Å.
In the title compound, C(13)H(16)ClNO, the cyclo-hexyl ring adopts a chair conformation, with puckering parameters Q = 0.576 (3) Å, θ = 0.1 (3) and ϕ = 8 (15)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into one-dimensional chains propagating in [010].
The title dihaloaniline, C(6)H(5)ClIN, shows no significant hydrogen bonds nor the commonly observed I⋯I inter-actions in the crystal structure, although an amino group and an I atom are available for such contacts. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak inter-actions involving the amine functionality as donor group and N or halogen atoms as acceptors.

Atrazine (2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-isopropylamino 1,3,5-triazine) is a widely used selective herbicide. Due to its persistence, it is present in the surface waters, contaminating non-target organisms such as fish. Herbicide atrazine was administered to Labeo rohita fingerlings in 120 hours. The used dose of atrazine was 0.18 mg/l for 120 hours (LC ). The histopathological changes in the gill tis...
The title compound, cis,fac-dichloridotetra-kis(dimethyl sulfoxide)-κ(3)S,κO-ruthenium(II), [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(4)], was obtained from newly synthesized ruthenium complexes of 3-amino-2-chloro-pyridine. The Ru atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination with two cis-oriented chloride ligands and four dimethyl sulfoxide ligands. Three of the sulfoxide ligands are S-bonded in a fac configurati...
Only 3 of more than 500 soil enrichments contained organisms able to use 1,9-dichlorononane as a sole carbon source. One isolate, a strain of Pseudomonas, grew on the compound and released much of the halogen as chloride. Resting cells dehalogenated 1,9-dichlorononane aerobically but not anaerobically. Pseudomonas sp. grew on and resting cells dehalogenated 1,6-dichlorohexane, 1,5-dichlorohepta...
