A boronic analogue of the archetype matrix α-cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid (CHCA) has been synthesised providing a new "reactive matrix" that possesses molecular recognition properties. This matrix selectively recognizes vic-diols, α-hydroxyacids, aminols and first allowed the detection of anions as fluoride (unaffordable by usual matrices).

Twenty-three BK virus and JC virus DNA samples obtained from urine of pregnant women had almost exclusively archetypal transcriptional control regions. Rearrangements characteristic of laboratory strains are apparently not required for reactivation in humans. Unexpectedly, alignment shows that many elements identified previously in the BK virus enhancer are conserved in the JC virus archetype.

Honeypots or honeynets are a technology that is rapidly maturing and establishing this archetype of countermeasure as viable and useful in modern network defence. Honeypot technology is now at a point of development where near real-time monitoring and forensic analysis of security events can occur. This paper explores the hurdles to be overcome for the internal deployment of honeypot technologies.

In this paper we propose to use Interaction Nets as a formalism for Visual Functional Programming. We consider the use of recursion patterns as a programming idiom, and introduce a suitable archetype/instantiation mechanism for interaction agents, which allows one to define agents whose behaviour is based on recursion patterns.

Recently the Rice University SIAM student chapter has published five new 10-digit problems. The intention is that Rice students solve every problem to as many digits of precision as possible. Archetype for this idea was a similar competition1 which culminated in a beautiful book[1].
