This is one of a series of papers examining the interplay between differentiation theory for Lipschitz maps, X → V , and bi-Lipschitz nonembeddability, where X is a metric measure space and V is a Banach space. Here, we consider the case V = L, where differentiability fails. We establish another kind of differentiability for certain X , including R and H, the Heisenberg group with its Carnot-Ca...
Solving multihomogeneous systems, as a wide range of structured algebraic systems occurring frequently in practical problems, is of first importance. Experimentally, solving these systems with Gröbner bases algorithms seems to be easier than solving homogeneous systems of the same degree. Nevertheless, the reasons of this behaviour are not clear. In this paper, we focus on bilinear systems (i.e...

We describe the transfer operator approach to coupled map lattices (CML) in cases where the local map is expanding but has no Markov partition (e.g. a general tent map). The coupling is allowed to be non-local, but the total innuence of all sites j 6 = i on site i must be small. The main technical tool are lattice-size independent estimates of Lasota-Yorke type which show that the transfer (Per...
The aim of this paper is to extend to the higher dimension n ≥ 2 the results from [11] about minimal connections and optimal lifting of maps of bounded variation with values into S. More precisely, we first outline the link between lifting and connections of maps in BV (B, S), Theorem 4.4. Secondly, we write in an explicit way the energy of the optimal lifting of BV -maps, Theorem 4.8. Finally,...
comparison of linear and nonlinear (bilinear) time series models in reference crop evapotranspiration prediction in urmia synoptic stationreference crop evapotranspiration (eto) prediction is one of the important elements in optimizing agricultural water consumption. in this regard, one of the prediction approaches is to use the stochastic time series methods. in this research, ar (p) and arma(...
Predicate encryption is a new paradigm of public key encryption that enables searches on encrypted data. Using the predicate encryption, we can search keywords or attributes on encrypted data without decrypting the ciphertexts. In predicate encryption, a ciphertext is associated with attributes and a token corresponds to a predicate. The token that corresponds to a predicate f can decrypt the c...
Abstract. The dynamical Borel-Cantelli lemma for some interval maps is considered. For expanding maps whose derivative has bounded variation, any sequence of intervals satisfies the dynamical Borel-Cantelli lemma. If a map has an indifferent fixed point, then the dynamical Borel-Cantelli lemma does not hold even in the case that the map has a finite absolutely continuous invariant measure and s...

In this paper we study two weak notions of Jacobian determinant for Sobolev maps, namely the distributional Jacobian and the relaxed total variation, which in general could be different. We show some cases of equality and use them to give an explicit expression for the relaxation of some polyconvex functionals.
