Estimates for the decay of Fourier transforms of measures have extensive applications in numerous problems in harmonic analysis and convexity including the distribution of lattice points in convex domains, irregularities of distribution, generalized Radon transforms and others. Here we prove that the spherical L-average decay rate of the Fourier transform of the Lebesgue measure on an arbitrary...

We present decay bounds for a broad class of Hermitian matrix functions where the matrix argument is banded or a Kronecker sum of banded matrices. Besides being significantly tighter than previous estimates, the new bounds closely capture the actual (non-monotonic) decay behavior of the entries of functions of matrices with Kronecker sum structure. We also discuss extensions to more general spa...

We calculate the eeects of including dynamical fermion loops in the lattice QCD estimates of meson decay constants, by extrapolating the results from negative avour numbers after a suitable matching of the pion and rho mass. For moderately light quarks, the values of the decay constants not corrected for the renormalization constants increase with respect to their quenched values.

The aim of this paper is to establish time decay properties and dispersive estimates for strictly hyperbolic equations with homogeneous symbols and with time-dependent coefficients whose derivatives belong to L(R). For this purpose, the method of asymptotic integration is developed for such equations and representation formulae for solutions are obtained. These formulae are analysed further to ...

We show that although there is no infrared divergence in exclusive P-wave quarkonium decays, the colour octet contribution is no less important than in the inclusive decay. Results from more proper calculations with only colour singlet contribution are not sufficient to account for the measured partial decay widths and so the next higher Fock state must be included. Using the χJ decay into N ¯ ...

We have observed the rare decay K+→π+μ+μ− and measured the branching ratio Γ(K+→π+μ+μ−)/Γ(K+→all) = (5.0± 0.4stat ± 0.7syst ± 0.6th)× 10−8. We compare this result with predictions from chiral perturbation theory and estimates based on the decay K+→π+e+e−. PACS numbers: 13.20.Eb, 12.39.Fe Typeset using REVTEX

We investigate decay constants of P and D-wave heavy-light mesons within the mock-meson approach. Numerical estimates are obtained using the relativistic quark model. We also comment on recent calculations of heavy-light pseudo-scalar and vector decay constants. Typeset using REVTEX

In this paper we focus on the initial value problem of a quasi-linear dissipative plate equation with arbitrary spatial dimensions (n ≥ 1). This equation verifies the decay property of the regularity-loss type. To overcome the difficulty caused by the regularity-loss property, we employ a special time-weighted (with negative exponent) L2 energy method combined with the optimal L2 decay estimate...

This paper is concerned with exponential estimates and stabilization of a class of discrete-time singular systems with time-varying state delays and saturating actuators. By constructing a decay-rate-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii function and utilizing the slow-fast decomposition technique, an exponential admissibility condition, which not only guarantees the regularity, causality, and exponent...
