Chikungunya fever is a viral disease transmitted to humans by the bite of infected Aedes aegypti mosquito. Like malaria and dengue, this infection has almost become endemic in India, especially central and south India. Symptoms of sudden onset of fever, chills, headache, nausea, vomiting, joint pain with or without swelling, low back pain, and rash are very similar to those of dengue but, unlik...
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a type of acute febrile illness caused by one the four serotypes virus again with genus Flavivirus known as dengue which characterized bleeding fever 2 to 7 days without clear cause weakness, lethargy, anxiety, heartburn accompanied signs in skin form spots. The purpose this study was determine effect community knowledge and attitudes on prevention behavior wor...
Dengue viruses are members of the Flaviviridae, transmitted principally in a cycle involving humans and mosquito vectors. In the last 20 years the incidence of dengue fever epidemics has increased and hyperendemic transmission has been established over a geographically expanding area. A severe form, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), is an immunopathologic disease occurring in persons who experien...
Background: Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease that has rapidly spread in all regions in recent years. There is little information on dengue fever epidemiology in Iran. High prevalence of dengue fever in Pakistan bordering southeast Iran emphasizes the need for paying more attention to monitoring of the disease in this region. The aim of this study was to study the dengue...
Dengue virus is a single stranded enveloped RNA virus belonging to the genus flavivirus in the family Flaviviridae and transmitted through the bites of Aedes mosquitoes (Gould EA et al, 2008). There are five serotypes of the virus distinguished on the basis of antigenicity; first four are referred to as DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3 and DENV-4 (Rodenhuis Zybert et al, 2010) while the fifth type was an...
Background: Dengue fever is the most common viral infection transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. This disease puts more than 3.9 billion people from 129 countries at risk of contracting dengue and causes 40,000 deaths each year. study aims to analyze effectiveness SI-DBD applications for finding, recording, reporting suspected cases dengue.
Methods: type research a quasi-experiment with The N...
We describe clinical and epidemiologic findings during the first epidemic of dengue fever in Belém, Pará State, Brazil, in 1996-97. Of 40,237 serum samples, 17,440 (43%) were positive for dengue by virus isolation or serologic testing. No hemorrhagic cases or deaths were reported. Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Dengue reemerged in Mauritius in 2009 after an absence of >30 years, and >200 cases were confirmed serologically. Molecular studies showed that the outbreak was caused by dengue virus type 2. Phylogenetic analysis of the envelope gene identified 2 clades of the virus. No case of hemorrhagic fever was recorded.
Objective: The number of dengue fever (DF)/dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) cases reported in India has risen in recent years. This study was undertaken to evaluate clinical profile and outcome of children admitted with DHF/dengue shock syndrome (DSS), in the 2006 DHF epidemic in Ludhiana, Punjab. Methods: Eighty one children with dengue hemorrhagic fever were hospitalized in the Pediatric Depart...
Dengue fever (DF) is mosquito born disease infecting 390 million individuals globally. It may present with several classical DF, dengue hemorrhagic (DHF) or shock syndrome. Clinical symptoms included headache, fever, bone pain some time flue like symptoms. commonly diagnosed by serological detection of IgM, NS1 antigen in patients’s serum. The progression and management monitored a simple compl...
