Most existing systems for the correction of word level errors are oriented toward either typographical or orthographical errors. Triphone analysis is a new correction strategy which combines phonemic transcription with trigram analysis. It corrects both kinds of errors (also in combination) and is superior for orthographical errors.

This paper is concerned with the problem of designing a robust adaptive controller for flexible joint robots (FJR). Under the assumption of weak joint elasticity, FJR is firstly modeled and converted into singular perturbation form. The control law consists of a FAT-based adaptive control strategy and a simple correction term. The first term of the controller is used to stability of the slow dy...

An experimental strategy to facilitate correction of single-base mutations of episomal targets in mammalian cells has been developed. The method utilizes a chimeric oligonucleotide composed of a contiguous stretch of RNA and DNA residues in a duplex conformation with double hairpin caps on the ends. The RNA/DNA sequence is designed to align with the sequence of the mutant locus and to contain t...

Power system state estimation is an important component of the status and healthiness underlying electric power grid real-time monitoring. However, such a prone to cyber-physical attacks. The majority research in systems security focuses on detecting measurements False-Data Injection While this important, measurement model parameters are also most part process. Measurement though, known as stat...

False arrhythmia alarms pose a major threat to the quality of care in today's ICU. Thus, the PhysioNet/Computing in Cardiology Challenge 2015 aimed at reducing false alarms by exploiting multimodal cardiac signals recorded by a patient monitor. False alarms for asystole, extreme bradycardia, extreme tachycardia, ventricular flutter/fibrillation as well as ventricular tachycardia were to be redu...

Reasoning about false beliefs of others develops with age. We present here an ACT-R model in order to show the developmental transitions. These start from a child’s reasoning from his/her own point of view (zero-order) to taking into consideration another agent’s beliefs (first-order), and later to taking into consideration another agent’s beliefs about again other agents’ beliefs (second-order...

he future of healthcare delivery systems will depend on heir ability to provide the best care at the least cost. In he clinical laboratory, this translates to ensuring that lecreased test use means appropriate use. The latter is nhikely to occur unless clinical laboratories provide practicing physicians with advice on test strategy and iterpretation of results. Effective clinical laboratory con...

The odontocete sound production system is highly complex and produces intense, directional signals that are thought to be focused by the melon and the air sacs. Because odontocete echolocation signals are variable and the emitted click frequency greatly affects the echolocation beam shape, investigations of beam focusing must account for frequency-related beam changes. In this study we tested w...
