in this paper, we introduce a new concept of - -ϕ-contractive integral type mappings and establish some new xed point theorems in complete metric spaces.
OBJECTIVE A theory of fuzzy polynucleotides, including an n-dimensional metric fuzzy polynucleotide space, has been previously introduced by the present author for fuzzy-theoretical analysis of nucleic acids [Sadegh-Zadeh K. Fuzzy genomes. Artif Intell Med 2000;18:1-28; Sadegh-Zadeh K. Ein Verfahren zur Fuzzydecodierung und Fuzzydechiffrierung von Informationen. Offenlegungsschrift DE 199 36 92...
In this article we first show that any finite cover of the moduli space of closed Riemann surfaces of genus g with g > 2 does not admit any Riemannian metric ds of nonnegative scalar curvature such that ds dsT where dsT is the Teichmüller metric. Our second result is the proof that any cover M of the moduli space Mg of a closed Riemann surface Sg does not admit any complete Riemannian metric of...
A subset W of the vertices of a graph G is a resolving set for G when for each pair of distinct vertices u,v in V (G) there exists w in W such that d(u,w)≠d(v,w). The cardinality of a minimum resolving set for G is the metric dimension of G. This concept has applications in many diverse areas including network discovery, robot navigation, image processing, combinatorial search and optimization....
This paper consists of main two sections. In the first section, we prove a common fixed point theorem in modified intuitionistic fuzzy metric space by combining the ideas of pointwise R-weak commutativity and reciprocal continuity of mappings satisfying contractive conditions. In the second section, we prove common fixed point theorems in modified intuitionistic fuzzy metric space from the clas...
Considering the increasing interest in fuzzy theory and possible applications, the concept of fuzzy metric space concept has been introduced by several authors from different perspectives. This paper interprets the theory in terms of metrics evaluated on fuzzy numbers and defines a strong Hausdorff topology. We study interrelationships between this theory and other fuzzy theories such as intuit...
In [], Choudhury proved that if X is a complete metric space, then every weak C-contraction has a unique fixed point; see [, Theorem .]. This result was generalized to a complete, partially ordered metric space in []; see [, Theorems ., . and .]. There were some generalizations of a metric such as a -metric, aD-metric, aG-metric, a conemetric, and a complex-valuedmetric. The notion...
Following the definition of coupled fixed point [T. G. Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (2006) 1379–1393], we prove a coupled fixed point theorem for contractive mappings in partially complete intuitionistic fuzzy normed spaces. © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. We study the norm induced by the supremum metric on the space of fuzzy numbers. And then we propose a method for constructing a norm on the quotient space of fuzzy numbers. This norm is very natural and works well with the induced metric on the quotient space.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of ∈chainable intuitionistic fuzzy metric space akin to the notion of ∈chainable fuzzy metric space, introduced by Cho, and Jung [6] and prove a common fixed point theorem for weakly compatible mappings in this newly defined space.
