Instances of logical cryptanalysis, circuit verification, and bounded model checking can often be succinctly represented as a combined satisfiability (SAT) problem where an instance is a combination of traditional clauses and parity constraints. This paper studies how such combined problems can be efficiently solved by augmenting a modern SAT solver with an xor-reasoning module in the DPLL(XOR)...

We consider the behavior of generalized Laplacian vector fields on a Jordan domain R3 with fractal boundary. Our approach is based properties Teodorescu transform and suitable extension fields. Specifically, present article addresses decomposition problem Hölder continuous field boundary (also called reconstruction problem) into sum two in complement its closure, respectively. In addition, cond...

A new algorithm for the determination of the relative convex hull in the plane of a simple polygon A with respect to another simple polygon B which contains A, is proposed. The relative convex hull is also known as geodesic convex hull, and the problem of its determination in the plane is equivalent to find the shortest curve among all Jordan curves lying in the difference set of B and A and en...

In order to identify main drivers behind changes in electricity and fuel consumptions in the industrial sector in Jordan; a Laspeyers decomposition technique was used to identify the factors affecting this demand during 1998-2005 years Changes have been disaggregated into production, structural, and efficiency effects. Results of the decomposition analysis prove that rapid increases in industri...

Consider a polynomial function f : C → C with generic fiber F . Let Bf be the bifurcation set of f; hence f induces a smooth locally trivial fibration over C \ Bf . Then, for any integer q ≥ 0 and any coefficient ring R, there is an associated monodromy representation ρ(f )q : π1 ( C \ Bf , pt ) −→ Aut H̃q(F,R) ) in (reduced) homology. Going around a circle in C large enough to contain all of th...

A method of text detection in natural images, to be turned into an effective embedded software on a mobile device, shall be both efficient and lightweight. We observed that a simple method based on the morphological Laplace operator can do the trick: we can construct in quasi-linear time a hierarchical image decomposition / simplification based on its 0-crossings, and search for some text in th...

Let $nin mathbb{N}$. An additive map $h:Ato B$ between algebras $A$ and $B$ is called $n$-Jordan homomorphism if $h(a^n)=(h(a))^n$ for all $ain A$. We show that every $n$-Jordan homomorphism between commutative Banach algebras is a $n$-ring homomorphism when $n < 8$. For these cases, every involutive $n$-Jordan homomorphism between commutative C-algebras is norm continuous.
