In the title complex, [Ni(C(11)H(16)N(3)O)]Cl·2H(2)O, the Ni(II) ion is coordinated within a distorted square-planar environment. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O, O-H⋯Cl and weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the components into a two-dimensional network parallel to (001).

The conformation of the N-H bond in the title compound, C(12)H(16)BrNO, is syn to the ortho-methyl substituent. There are two unique molecules in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming infinite chains down [010].

The title mol-ecule, C(16)H(13)N(3)O(7), is slightly twisted, with the dihedral angle between the two benzene ring planes being 17.4 (1)°. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond is observed. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into chains along the b axis.

The title compound, C(16)H(23)NO(4), is essentially planar except for the last two C atoms in each n-butyl group (r.m.s. deviation from the least-squares plane = 0.02 Å for 17 non-H atoms). In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the amine and carbonyl groups link the mol-ecules into one-dimensional chains.

In mol-ecule of the title compound, C(16)H(14)N(2)O(2), the two aromatic rings form a dihedral angle of 6.93 (3)° and an intramolecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running in the [10] direction.

We experimentally demonstrate an 100 Gbit/s hybrid optical fiber-wireless link by employing photonic heterodyning up-conversion of optical 12.5 Gbaud polarization multiplexed 16-QAM baseband signal with two free running lasers. Bit-error-rate performance below the FEC limit is successfully achieved for air transmission distances up to 120 cm.

In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(9)H(9)N(3)O, the angle formed by the least-squares line through the azide group with the normal to the plane of the benzene plane ring is 46.62 (16)°. The crystal structure features C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into zigzag chains running parallel to [010].

In the title compound, C(16)H(17)NO, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 16.6 (1)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the mol-ecules into chains running along the c axis.

In the title compound, C(21)H(19)NOS, the three aromatic rings are not coplanar, the dihedral angles between them being 84.75 (7), 88.01 (8) and 8.36 (16)°. In the crystal, two types of C-H⋯ π inter-actions, one of which is weak, and N-H⋯π inter-actions link the mol-ecules into layers parallel to the ab plane.
