Ureteritis cystica is an uncommon cause of acute renal pain. The aetiology remains unclear and the diagnosis may be difficult to establish. We report the case of a 29 year old woman with a history of repeated urinary tract infections presenting with acute renal colic in the absence of lithiasis. We review the diagnostic tools available to make the diagnosis and the recent pertinent literature.

We reconsider the problem of gravitational structure formation inside and outside General Relativity (GR), both in the weakly and strongly non-linear regime. We show how these regimes can be explored observationally through clustering of high order cumulants and through the epoch of formation, abundance and clustering of collapse structures, using Press-Schechter formalism and its extensions. W...

We observed a patient with a giant brown tumor of the iliac bone due to hyperparathyroidism. There was a risk of pathologic fracture due to huge cysts produced by bone absorption. In hyperparathyroid crisis, control of severe hypercalcemia is difficult without resection of the parathyroid gland.

Brown tumors are focal bone lesions, encountered in patients with uncontrolled hyperparathyroidism. They can be located in any part of the skeleton. Clinically significant lesions in the craniofacial bones are rare. Craniofacial involvement may cause facial disfiguration and compromise social ease of the patient and normal functions, such as chewing, talking, and breathing. In this case report,...

Brown tumor of hyperparathyroidism (BTHPT) is rare in the United States and not frequently seen in clinical practice. This is likely because early diagnosis and prompt treatment of this disease process prevent the progression and development of BTHPT. Conversely, BTHPT is more common in underdeveloped countries where fewer patients have access to health care and hyperparathyroidism (HPT) goes u...

The inflammatory changes of sternal osteitis and involvement of the adjacent soft tissue were assu...
