Recent reverses for the discrete generalised triangle inequality and its continuous version for vector-valued integrals in Banach spaces are surveyed. New results are also obtained. Particular instances of interest in Hilbert spaces and for complex numbers and functions are pointed out as well.
In the paper, we consider the density functions of random variables that can be written as integrals of exponential functions of Gaussian random fields. In particular, we provide closed form asymptotic bounds for the density functions and under smoothness conditions we derive exact tail approximations of the density functions.
It is known that several discrete integrals, including the Choquet and Sugeno integrals as well as some of their generalizations, are comonotonically modular functions. Based on a recent description of the class of comonotonically modular functions, we axiomatically identify more general families of discrete integrals that are comonotonically modular, including signed Choquet integrals and symm...
Corresponding material in the book: Section 15.2, 15.3. Note: We are omitting the question types from the book that require three-dimensional visualization, i.e., those that require sketching figures in three dimensions to compute volumes. What students should definitely get: The procedure for computing double integrals over rectangles using iterated integrals, the procedure for computing doubl...
Some aspects of adelic generalized functions, as linear continuous functionals on the space of Schwartz-Bruhat functions, are considered. The importance of adelic generalized functions in adelic quantum mechanics is demonstrated. In particular, adelic product formula for Gauss integrals is derived, and the connection between the functional relation for the Riemann zeta function and quantum stat...
We recall our approach through discretizations for path integrals and its general results for representations of probability densities. It is shown that the result of Arnold [P. Arnold, Phys. Rev. E 61, 6099 (2000)] is a particular case of our work.
General theory of elliptic hypergeometric series and integrals is outlined. Main attention is paid to the examples obeying properties of the “classical” special functions. In particular, an elliptic analogue of the Gauss hypergeometric function and some of its properties are described. Present review is based on author’s habilitation thesis [Spi7] containing a more detailed account of the subject.
We obtain a weak type (1, 1) estimate for a maximal operator associated with the classical rough homogeneous singular integrals TΩ. In particular, this provides a different approach to a sparse domination for TΩ obtained recently by Conde-Alonso, Culiuc, Di Plinio and Ou [5].
The criterion of irreducibility of multi–loop Feynman integrals. Abstract The integration by parts recurrence relations allow to reduce some Feynman inte-grals to more simple ones (with some lines missing). Nevertheless the possibility of such reduction for the given particular integral was unclear. The recently proposed technique for studying the recurrence relations as by-product provides wit...
We study the form of possible algebraic relations between functions satisfying linear differential equations. In particular, if f and g satisfy equations are algebraically dependent, we give conditions on Galois group associated to guaranteeing that is a polynomial in f. apply this hypergeometric iterated integrals.
