The effect of the adsorption tetraethylammonium (TEA) cations, which present both ionic and organic characteristics, on reduction Cd(II) ions have been studied from dc ac measurements at dropping mercury electrode. resistance to charge transfer (Rct) Warburg coefficient (σ) parameters determined through impedance measurements. Thus, global velocity constant has obtained. process in perchloric m...

The novel ionic liquid, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium 3,5-dinitro-1,2,4-triazolate has been synthesized and exhibits an unexpectedly low melting point (35 degrees C) considering the size and shape of the rigid, planar anion; analogous tetraalkylammonium salts (methyl, ethyl and n-butyl) have also been prepared and the tetraethylammonium example was characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction.

1. Insoluble salts of alklaine earth metals (e. g. calcium phosphate) dissolve in non-aqueous solvents containing EDTA salts of organic cations (e.g. tetraethylammonium). 2. Bone is efficiently demineralized in ethanolic trimethylammonium EDTA. Retention in the matrix of water-soluble materials (e.g. proteoglycan) is much better than in standard aqueous EDTA demineralization procedures.

Substance P (SP) produced membrane depolarization and decreased membrane conductance of mouse spinal cord neurons in primary dissociated cell culture. SP-responses were abolished by intracellular tetraethylammonium suggesting that SP decreased potassium conductance. Reversal of SP-responses was not observed with membrane hyperpolarization suggesting that SP reduced a voltage-dependent potassium...

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the endothelium in the vascular actions of protease-activated receptor type 1 (PAR-1) activation in vivo in man. BACKGROUND Thrombin is central to the pathophysiology of atherothrombosis. Its cellular actions are mediated via PAR-1. Protease-activated receptor type 1 activation causes arterial vasodilation, venoconstriction, pl...

OBJECTIVE To study the renal excretion and kidney accumulation of pentamidine, a potentially nephrotoxic compound, in the isolated perfused rat kidney (IPK). MATERIALS AND METHODS IPK experiments (3-4 per treatment group) were conducted using male Sprague-Dawley rats (250-350 g). Dose proportionality studies were carried out over a pentamidine dosing range of 80-4000 microg, designed to targe...

Highly permeable zeolite membranes are desirable for fast gas separation in the industry. Reducing membrane's thickness is deemed to be an optimal solution permeability improvement. Herein, we report synthesis route of thin SSZ-13 via conversion template-contained surface gels. The gel fully crystallized into crack-free assisted with dual templates N,N,N-trimethyl-1-adamantammonium hydroxide (T...
