The effects of the repeated number (RN) of aminoethylene (AE) units in polyaspartamide side chains were investigated for polyion complex (PIC)-based siRNA delivery. Reduction of the apparent RN from 3 to 2 by thiourea introduction increased a protonatable amine fraction in AE units at endosomal pH, leading to the efficient endosomal escape of siRNA-loaded PICs.

A novel and facile cascade Biginelli-like assembly employing enaminone, aldehyde and urea/thiourea has been developed, which provides a highly chemo- and regioselective synthesis of new dihydropyrimidinones, 1,3-thiazines and chromones by altering particular functional groups in the reactants.

An enantioselective bromoamination of allylic alcohols has been developed for the first time using a newly designed cinchona-derived thiourea as the catalyst and N,N-dibromo-4-nitrobenzenesulfonamide as a bromine and amine source.

In the title compound, C(15)H(13)ClN(2)OS, the dihedral angles between the sulfourea group and the benzene ring and the chloro-benzene ring are 35.8 (6) and 81.6 (6)° respectively. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O inter-action occurs. In the crystal, a combination of inter-molecular π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 4.0616 (16) Å] and N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds stabilizes the structure.
