We improved the approximation of the model of the wormhole generated physical universe constructed by Choudhury and Pendharkar. We show here that the negative pressure of the unphysical wormhole can generate the right physical condition to explain the correct sign of the deacceleration parameter q0. The negative sign of q0 implies an accelerating universe.

We analyze a new wormhole routing scheme, which we call the wormhole deflection with virtual channels (abbreviated WDVC) scheme, that combines wormhole routing with virtual channels and deflection routing to provide efficient lossless communication. We use new analytical models to analyze the performance of the WDVC scheme for the Manhattan Street (MS) network topology. In particular, we examin...

We study traversable Lorentzian wormholes in the three-dimensional low energy string theory by adding some matter source involving a dilaton field. It will be shown that there are two-different types of wormhole solutions such as BTZ and black string wormholes depending on the dilaton backgrounds, respectively. We finally obtain the desirable solutions which confine exotic matter near the throa...

Wormhole attacks, as a devastating type of threats in wireless mesh networks, have received much attention in recent years. This paper proposes a type of wormhole attack model and its corresponding detection scheme. In this scheme, the combination of a number of techniques, such as distributed voting, watch-nodes-based detection and identity-based cryptosystem are used. The simulation results a...

A very simple wormhole geometry is considered as a model of a mode of topological fluctutation in Planck-scale spacetime foam. Quantum dynamics of the hole reduces to quantum mechanics of one variable, throat radius, and admits a WKB analysis. The hole is quantum-mechanically unstable: It has no bound states. Wormhole wave functions must eventually leak to large radii. This suggests that stabil...

Many obstacles impede the successful deployment of sensor networks. In addition to the limited resources issue, security is a major concern especially for applications such as home security monitoring, military, and battle field applications. In this paper we present a defense mechanism against wormhole attacks in wireless sensor networks. Specifically, a simple routing tree protocol is propose...

We examine the effects that topological fluctuations in the structure of space-time have on the global U(1) symmetry of a scalar field theory. When the symmetry is not spontaneously broken we find wormhole solutions which break the U(1) symmetry despite the fact that they have infinite euclidean action. In the case where the symmetry is spontaneously broken we find wormhole solutions of finite ...

The main motivation of an attacker is to convince two far away nodes as neighbor nodes using wormhole attack easily without the knowledge of cryptographic primitives. Thus, it can significantly degrade the performance of Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs). Secure neighbor discovery is a fundamental requirement of network nodes to ensure secure data communication. An adversary that bypass neighbor di...

Due to dynamic topology and non-wired infrastructure of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), they are prone to attacks. Wormhole attack is one of the most popular and serious attack in WSNs. In Wormhole attack two or more malicious nodes makes a covert channel which attracts the traffic towards itself by depicting a low latency link and then start dropping and replaying packets in the multi-path rou...

The issues of adaptive multicast wormhole routing in 2D mesh multicomputers are studied. Three adaptive multicast wormhole routing strategies are proposed and evaluated. The methods include minimal partially-adaptive, minimal fully-adaptive, and nonminimal adaptive routing. All the algorithms, which are the rst deadlock-free adaptive multicast wormhole routing algorithms ever proposed, are show...
