عنکبوتهای جنس latrodectus (theridiidae: araneae) یا عنکبوتهای بیوه (widow spiders) در منطقه مشهد و حومه مورد بررسی قرار گرفت . این عنکبوتها در خراسان به دلمک یا دلمک مشهورند. در این مطالعه ابتدا خصوصیات اکولوژیکی و رفتاری در زیستگاه طبیعی و شرایط آزمایشگاه بررسی شد و سپس براساس مطالعات مورفولوژیک و مورفومتریک دو گونه l.13-guttatus و l.geometricus شناسایی شد.
