Novel and highly efficient cross couplings of aryl bromides and chlorides with AlAr3(THF) (Ar = Ph, 2,4,6-Me3C6H2, 2-naphthyl or 4-Me3SiC6H4) catalyzed by the economic palladium catalyst of PCy3 are reported without the use of a base and under mild reaction conditions at room temperature or temperatures < or = 60 degrees C even for couplings of bulky aryl halides and the Al(2,4,6-Me3C6H2)3(THF)...

We discuss experimental aspects related to the e + e − → ZZ process and to the search for anomalous ZZV couplings (V= Z, γ) at LEP2 and future e + e − colliders. We present two possible approaches for a realistic study of the reaction and discuss the differences between them. We find that the optimal method to study double Z resonant production and to quantify the presence of anomalous coupling...

Results of complete tree level calculation of the single top and light Higgs production in the reaction γe −→ ν b b̄W at the Next Linear Collider are presented. In addition, the contributions of anomalous operators to the Wtb and WWH couplings are included into the complete 4-body consideration. The sensitivity for probing the structure of the couplings in a model independent way is analyzed.

Iron-catalyzed homo-coupling of simple and functionalized arylmagnesium reagents is described. The reaction is highly chemoselective (CN, COOEt and NO(2) groups are tolerated). The procedure was used to perform intramolecular couplings. This cyclization reaction is the key step of the total synthesis of the N-methylcrinasiadine.

This paper is concerned with elucidating a relationship between two common coupling methods for the continuous time Markov chain models utilized in the cell biology literature. The couplings considered here are primarily used in a computational framework by providing reductions in variance for different Monte Carlo estimators, thereby allowing for significantly more accurate results for a fixed...

N-Vinylpirrolidinone reacts with (E)-ethyl 5-hydroxy-3-(4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl) acrylate (1) through a domino reaction similar to that reported reaction for ethyl vinyl ether. Inverse electron demand Diels–Alder (IEDDA)–elimination-IEDDA generates isomeric tetracycles 5 and 6. The assignment of the relative stereochemistry of the products was made by comparing the proton couplings with those obt...

Palladium-catalyzed aerobic oxidative cross-couplings of indoles and benzene have been achieved by using 4,5-diazafluorene derivatives as ancillary ligands. Proper choice of the neutral and anionic ligands enables control over the reaction regioselectivity.

New chemotypes are obtained from tryptophan-containing diketopiperazines through selective C-C or C-N intramolecular oxidative couplings. The choice of the oxidant source dictates the outcome of the reaction.

The Staudinger ligation provides a means to form an amide bond between a phosphinothioester and azide. This reaction holds promise for the ligation of peptides en route to the total chemical synthesis of proteins. (Diphenylphosphino)methanethiol is the most efficacious of known reagents for mediating the Staudinger ligation of peptides, providing high (> 90%) isolated yields for equimolar coupl...
