Forsterinaria anachoreta Pulido & AndrAde is recognized here as the junior subjective synonym of F. difficilis (Forster). The type locality of F. difficilis given by Forster as Bolivia is considered mistaken. The identity of F. difficilis and F. pichita PeñA & lAmAs is evaluated.
