In order to meet requirement of indexes demonstration at fighter design’s early stage, a mission simulation-based fighter anti-ship effectiveness evaluation method on stealth capability is researched. Evaluation indexes for the mission which can be divided into parameter indexes and mission indexes are proposed. The architecture of the simulation system which includes database, computation modu...

The problem of attitude stabilization of a fighter aircraft is investigated in this paper. The practical aspects of a real physical system like existence of external disturbance with unknown upper bound and actuator saturation are considered in the process of controller design of this aircraft. In order to design a robust autopilot in the presence of the actuator saturation, the Composite Nonli...

In order for agents to successfully make decisions about task allocations within a team, two elements are essential: (1) a good judgement of the situation and (2) once the situation is known have a good decision making process to derive and assign tasks that should be performed. Within research on agent systems, little work has been done on the combination of the two. In this paper, a human-bas...

Limit cycle oscillations (LCOs) affect current fighter aircraft and are expected to be present on next generation fighter aircraft. Current efforts in control systems designed to suppress LCO behavior have either used a linear model, restricting the flight regime, require exact knowledge of the system dynamics, or require uncertainties in the system dynamics to be linear-in-theparameters and on...

In this paper a computational decision making model is presented based on the Somatic Marker Hypothesis. The use of the model is illustrated for the domain of fighter pilot decision making. Hereby, simulation runs have been performed upon this scenario, and the results thereof have been formally verified based upon properties inspired on Damasio’s Hypothesis.

Suppose that a circular fire spreads in the plane at unit speed. A single fire fighter can build a barrier at speed v > 1. How large must v be to ensure that the fire can be contained, and how should the fire fighter proceed? We contribute two results. First, we analyze the natural curve FFv that develops when the fighter keeps building, at speed v, a barrier along the boundary of the expanding...

An extensive experimental investigation to study the flow structure over the wing of a fighter type configuration model has been conducted. The model used for this study was similar to the High Alpha Research Vehicle (HARV) that has been used in various European research centers for studying its force and moment characteristics. Tests were conducted at two subsonic speeds and at low to moderate...
