Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are potential biofertilizers for plants. The succeed and quality of AMF inoculation is related to the type This study aimed find most effective species in Indigofera zollingeriana nurseries. experiment was designed using a completely randomized design with six treatments five replications based on different types single consortium forms. to study the effect of different arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi on growth performance and water absorption efficiency of osteospermum, a factorial experiment based on a randomized complete block design was conducted in greenhouse. a total of 22 different species of mycorrhizal fungi in symbiosis with the plant studied in this experiment. the results showed that mycorrhiza fungus glomus mossea ca a...

A survey of the natural mycorrhizal potential has been carried out in a representative area of a desertified semiarid ecosystem in the southeast of Spain. Many indigenous plants from the field site were mycorrhizal, including the dominant Anthyllis cytisoides, which had high levels of colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). Low numbers of AMF spores were present in the soil, althoug...

Comparative mitochondrial genomics of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) provide new avenues to overcome long-lasting obstacles that have hampered studies aimed at understanding the community structure, diversity, and evolution of these multinucleated and genetically polymorphic organisms.AMF mitochondrial (mt) genomes are homogeneous within isolates, and their intergenic regions harbor numerou...

The seasonal change and host preference of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) colonization and community composition of five common plant species Agropyron cristatum, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Cleistogenes squarrosa, Leymus chinensis, and Stipa grandis in the Inner Mongolia steppe were investigated. The AM root length colonization rates were different among the five plant species and were generally h...

The demand for the increased productivity of sugarcane crops has required changes in its production chain, such as use pre-sprouted seedlings (PSS) into chain. In this system, inoculation beneficial microorganisms, plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), can improve seedling development. objective was to evaluate effect PGPB AMF on PSS system. Experiments ...

Cassava is widely grown in Inceptisol. As agricultural land, the soil has several problems, i.e., high acidity, easily leached surface layers, unstable aggregates, and slow permeability. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form a symbiotic relationship with over 80% of higher plant species. However, effectiveness AMF on cassava not been reported. This study aimed to determine effect inoculants v...

A gram-positive bacterium with antagonistic activity towards soilborne fungal pathogens has been isolated from the mycorrhizosphere of Sorghum bicolor inoculated with Glomus mosseae. It has been identified as Paenibacillus sp. strain B2 based on its analytical profile index and on 16S ribosomal DNA analysis. Besides having antagonistic activity, this bacterium stimulates mycorrhization.

The occurrence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) was assessed by both morphological and molecular criteria in two salt marshes: (i) a NaCl site of the island Terschelling, Atlantic Coast, the Netherlands and (ii) a K(2)CO(3) marsh at Schreyahn, Northern Germany. The overall biodiversity of AMF, based on sequence analysis, was comparably low in roots at both sites. However, the morphological...

Solanum nigrum was found to proliferate in sediments with high levels of metal pollution. The effect of Zn on plant growth and tissue metal accumulation was assessed. The response of the plant to the inoculation with four different isolates of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) (Glomus sp. BEG140, Glomus claroideum, Glomus mosseae and Glomus intraradices) was studied. While the isolates of AMF ...
