the purpose of this study is to implement a new modification of the variational iteration method (h-s-vim), which is a combination of spectral method and variational iteration method for heat transfer problems with high nonlinearity order. the merit of this method is that it does not require the solution of any linear or nonlinear system of equations unlike spectral method. furthermore the prop...

For beyond 2-D CMOS logic, various 3-D integration approaches specially transistor based 3-D integrations such as monolithic 3-D [1], Skybridge [2], SN3D [3] holds most promise. However, such 3D architectures within small form factor increase hotspots and demand careful consideration of thermal management at all levels of integration [4] as stacked transistors are detached from the substrate (i...

The objective of this paper was to design energy integrated solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) based microcombined heat and power (micro-CHP) systems using syngas derived from lignocellulosic biomass waste. The novel contributions of this work include 1) integration of syngas between a community-scale biomass gasification plant and SOFC based micro-CHP systems in buildings; 2) heat integrated designs...

The synthesis of multiperiod heat exchanger networks (HEN) is a well-studied topic in integration. Several methods for identifying network designs that are able to feasibly operate under multiple conditions have been presented. Multiperiod models certainly notable form achieving such resilient designs. In work and integration, however, solutions presented so far nominal only. This presents step...

in this paper, we develop an efficient legendre wavelets collocation method for well known time-fractional heat equation. inthe proposed method, we apply operational matrix of fractionalintegration to obtain numerical solution of the inhomogeneoustime-fractional heat equation with lateral heat loss and dirichletboundary conditions. the power of this manageable method isconfirmed. moreover, the ...

Nowadays, the optimal control of a heat integrated industrial plant becomes one of the most important research areas in the chemical industry. There are at least two main reasons why this topic is interesting: first, the reduction of production costs applying the heat integration techniques and second, process optimization through advanced control alternatives, when taking into account the impr...

Pinch Analysis is an attractive solution for reduction of thermal energy costs in thermo-chemical industries. In this approach, maximum internally recoverable heat determined and a exchange network designed to meet the recovery targets. The performance exchanger over its lifetime however concern Thermal affected by many factors which include physical properties shell tube materials, chemical tr...
