BACKGROUND Despite our progress in understanding the organizational context for implementation and specifically the role of leadership in implementation, its role in sustainment has received little attention. This paper took a mixed-method approach to examine leadership during the sustainment phase of the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, Sustainment (EPIS) framework. Utilizing the Impl...

Following the total raw scores of SB5 testing, scores were divided into two groups and then item difficulty and the discrimination index were calculated within 165 children from the total sample. Besides, the study also sought to perform an age specific (6-16) item analysis from those total students. The adaptation and modification of the items were done based on the difficulty, discriminating ...

Head direction cells change their firing rates as a function of the orientation of an animal within an environment. Typically, these cells display a unimodal tuning curve with maximal firing at the cell's preferred direction. As different cells have different preferred directions, the population of cells has been hypothesized to represent the orientation of the animal within the environment. Pr...

Despite a high priority placed on theory-testing in nursing, there continues to be minimal research undertaken which adequately tests nursing theories. A study was planned to contribute to theory-testing in nursing by testing an aspect of Watson's (1988) theory of human care. Watson essentially believes that nursing is an intersubjective human process and places a high value on the caring relat...

We present a new image-based process for measuring a surface's bidirectional reflectance rapidly, completely, and accurately. Requiring only two cameras, a light source, and a test sample of known shape, our method generates densely spaced samples covering a large domain of illumination and reflection directions. We verified our measurements both by tests of internal consistency and by comparis...

The authors explored the utility of the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) in assessing adolescents' emotion regulation. Adolescents (11-17 years; N = 870) completed the DERS and measures of externalizing and internalizing problems. Confirmatory factor analysis suggested a similar factor structure in the adolescent sample of the authors as demonstrated previously among adults. Furt...

A 15 item mother-infant attachment scale was developed. It is a simple, brief and easy to comprehend even by the illiterate rural woman. The split half reliability was found to be 0.83 and there was high internal consistency. It has high face and construct validity. The babies separated for longer period had shown lesser attachment subsequently, compared to those who had no separation.
